Sweater dress

You can’t go wrong with a sweater dress, black tights, and black booties. You just can’t. Have a dinner date to attend? Sweater dress. Need to run to the grocery store? Sweater dress. Ha! Probably not. Speaking of grocery store…I love watching TV shows and movies set in the 1960’s where going to the grocery store was a social event. The women would get dressed up and I mean dressed up. Where has that gone? I’m guilty of throwing on my favorite sweats to run in the grocery store and consequently, that’s the day I see my teacher from high school, my neighbor, and my friend’s mom. I didn’t mean to go on a rant about grocery store attire. But, while we’re here, what are your thoughts on the subject? Random-I know. I’m not insinuating that you’ll see me in the grocery store with a tea length dress, heels, and a gallon of hairspray in my hair. Sometimes I plan what I’m going to write to accompany these outfit of the day posts and then other times, like today, I just start typing and wait to see where it takes me. I wasn’t expecting this one.

P.S. I’m referring to The Help and Mad Men.
